Endorsement
The public and I have had ample opportunities in the past few weeks to analyze the aims and objectives of the various competitors in the upcoming elections. Danny Becnel's straight forward and practical approach sets him apart from the other candidates. He has shown great concern for the residents of St. John Parish by addressing the real issues that concern the community. And his willingness to listen to people's problems is what is most commendable.
I am writing today to show my allegiance and support for Danny Becnel and his campaign. As a former councilman of 34 years, I have served under five Parish Presidents and one C.E.O., I can say without hesitation, that this present election is NOT about a Black or White thing. This is about more Green (dollars) for true infrastructure developments and improvements in the parish. This is about who is going to improve the best quality of life for each of our residents.
I have known Danny Becnel for over 45 years. I personally know of things he has done for people in the community, and yes, including minorities I witnessed Danny fund the college education of those who had a desire of being the first one in their families to go to college. Danny has done a lot in this community over the years, more than many may realized. Granted, he may have a flamboyant style that sometimes overshadows his contributions to the community, but at the end of the day, Danny Becnel has the experience, governmental knowledge and the guts to move St. John the Baptist Parish forward. I, Richard Dale Wolfe, endorse Danny Becnel, Jr. for St. John the Baptist Parish President.
